benchcoach Taking The Luck Out Of Fantasy Sports

We’re live!

Ladies, Gentlemen, Friends:

The day you have been waiting for is here. I'm pleased to announce that benchcoach is open for business!

Benchcoach is the best analytic fantasy baseball scenario evaluator website the world has ever seen. Period. Without clause, caveat or qualification, you will not find a better site with which to see the effects of hypothetical trades and lineup movements in the context of your league with both user and adaptive algorithmic projections and wood paneling graphics ANYWHERE! Count on it.

We've got gigabytes of data. 78 tables of pure baseball. Our trends go back to 1871. We make MySQL whimper with our outer joins. We've got play by play data since 1975[1] loaded up so you if you need to know what the third play was on the top of the 7th between the Orioles and the Yankees on May 15, 1976, well, you won't need me to tell you that Reggie Jackson whiffed it.

We've focused all of this data thus far on fantasy baseball, and we plan to do more. Not all of you play fantasy baseball of course, and while it's obvious you should all start, there are many other ways to mine and slice this data for the more general baseball fan. Look for the custom query tool and visualizations in the future.

Finally, we current supportly synchronizing Yahoo and ESPN leagues and we plan on adding more league providers as demand warrants.

Go check out the site, and more importantly, pass on the word to your fantasy-baseball-playing friends. For those who don't have a league, you can adopt a "sample" league to play around with to see what it is that we're talking about.
