Users will be able to drag and drop players to create team rosters on the fly, while behind the scenes, Fangelica will be calculating in real time the expected outcomes with certain moves.

We're currently in a closed beta.  If you'd like to get early access and participate in the beta, please email us at, support@benchcoach.com

More to come.

Thanks,

A General Update + Fangelica has crunched 35,225 and Counting!

Over the past 6 weeks we've seen some serious success and most of that can be attributed to our users, thanks!
We wanted to provide a quick update about some new and exciting features that have recently been updated on Benchcoach.com, as well as features that will soon be on the site.
First, we've continued to make HUGE improvements to Fangelica, our algorithm that powers all of those recommendations.  If you haven't been on in a few days, be sure to check out the new and improved recommendation.
Second, we've fixed a few syncing and Internet Explorer issues.  If you were one of those people, please try back now, everything should be working smoothly.  If not, simply email support@benchcoach.com.  Also, We'll now automatically sync your league(s) for you if you've gone 10 hours without syncing.
Third, we're shortly pushing our two new features.  The first is an email summary, summarizing new trade, bench, sit and start opportunities that each of your respective leagues has.  We're in the final testing phase and hope to have this feature up and running by early next week, watch you inbox.
The second is our scratch pad.  Many of you have asked for this feature back from last year, it's coming.  This will enable you to drag and drop people to create on the fly roster improvements.  We'll calculate everything for you behind the scenes, so you can see what the expected outcomes look like with each move.
Again, if you haven't synced your leagues in the past few days, please do so.  We know you'll love the newly formatted recommendations.
Thanks for reading and expect big things from us in the coming weeks.  We'll be sharing some upcoming features in a few short days.

Benchcoach Adding New Email Summary Feature

We're in the process of putting on the final touches to our Daily Email Summary.  Users that opt-in to recieve the daily email summary will receive a nicely packaged email every morning to digest during morning coffee, tea or what have you.

The email will summarize new trades, analyzed trades sits, pickups, and bench opportunities for your respective leagues.  We're also including an 'opportunity' of the day where we illustrate an individualized recommendation that's out of the norm, something you may not have thought of or considered.

We've attached a screen shot of what it will look like  and everyone should expect to see this in their inbox in a few short days.

If you haven't already, check out the new webpage, www.benchcoach.com.

Happy Friday!

The Benchcoach Team.

You asked for more data, more data is here!

With the success of Fangelica, users have been asking the same question. "Okay, Fangelica is really cool but where's all the data"? As of early this morning, users can now see the details behind every recommendation. Check it out and let us know what you think.

Simply put, you'll be able to see:
-The actual trade values
-Respective stats for all players involved
-Resulting lineups
-Projected standings before trade
-Projected standings after trade

Updates / Friends and family release!

Hi Everyone,

We wanted to provide a quick update for all of you who have signed up to try Benchcoach.  Over the past week, we opened the system and had a small friends and family release.  Fangelica (our proprietary algorithm) ran smoothly and the recommendation she offered up, were spot on.  We're currently fully integrated with Yahoo, ESPN and CBS.  We'll be 'launching' with Rotowire support and are currently finishing up the support as we speak.

Thanks to all the feedback, we've been able to fix a few errors and continue improving on an hourly basis.   We're expecting to open up the system more fully very soon.  If you'd be willing to help participate in our early beta testing release, please email us at, support@benchcoach.com.

For everyone who signed up for early access, you'll be getting your invites shortly.

As always, if you like what we're doing and or have received a cool Fangelica recommendation, a tweet on Twitter or a post on Facebook always helps.

I've attached a sneak peek screen shot, more soon.

The Benchcoach Team!

Interview with Fantasy CPR Live

I did a quick little interview (I'm at the 43 minute mark) with Joe Dexter over at Fantasy CPR Live. My first ever radio interview and while I was nervous, I didn't completely melt down on air so that was a huge plus for us.

Thanks Joe for the interview and it was fun.

Benchcoach Season 2 has launched

We're happy to announce that Benchcoach season 2 has launched. We've moved away from a javascript based application to one that uses Adobe Flash which makes the application faster to use once it's been loaded and ready to go. We've added several new features and hopefully, have made things easier to use. Check out the demo to get a better feel for how it works.

There are still some rough edges we need to work out. Aside from bugs, we also need to re-do the tour videos again and we need to expand the help section. We're also working on expanding the user projection system so that you can make edits to projections for any player so that the benchcoach projection can better reflect on your opinion on players and we expect to have that out in the next week or so.

Please, send us your feedback to dev@benchcoach.com or if you come across any bugs. I know there will be some but hopefully, with your help we can make the fixes quickly and to everyone's satisfaction.

Thanks again and good luck with your 2009 season!

Nice Write up From CNET

I have my machines to play a little ding sound whenever Benchcoach gets a new sign up and an angry little beep whenever our servers had a problem with a request.

These sounds have been absent from my ears for about 4 months. Early Saturday morning, as I was eating breakfast, I heard some familiar dings from my work area. I thought I imagined it but heard it a couple more times.

Benchcoach's 2009 season had started with out us! It turns out that a CNET Blog Network author named Don Reisinger had blogged about our site on CNET. The article can be found right here. He said some complimentary things about us and has driven traffic to our site.

We're now scrambling to push up our schedule but his article, and some of the excitement of our new users has really re-energized us and we're working back at a fever pitch to get everything out the door and into the hands of our users.

Thanks Don and we owe you a beer.
